London Wasps have ordered their flanker Daniel Leo to cut his hair after a ruck disappeared into it during a club training session.

The Samoan player has recently grown his hair into a dramatic afro which has seen his official height in the club statistics raise to 7ft 1in.

Club officials are hoping that the player will return his hair to a more ‘sensible’ style.

www.theeastterrace.com was unable to bring you a full picture of the hairstyle as no camera lens exists which could capture the full afro.

It is believed a training ground accident with Leo’s hair last Thursday led to five squad players ‘disappearing’.

As of press time the players have still not been located, although club officials hope that a ‘thorough investigation’ into Leo’s hair will find the players safe and sound.

It is thought that ‘Leogate’, as the disaster is being referred to, is the worse hair related incident in rugby since a Welsh youth player was blinded by Gavin Henson’s flat top during training in 2003.
